Almost a group
Can’t find what you want? Tell Onzo. When enough people nearby want the same thing, it becomes a real activity.
Tell us what you want
- On Discover, tap Start one: tell us what you’d like to do and when: the last card in the Almost a group row, or near the top when no groups are forming (or Tell us what you want at the end of the list).
- What do you want to do? For example Mahjong, Pickleball or Late-night food.
- When could you go? Pick the times that suit you.
- Choose a style and your Ideal group size.
- Tap Count me in.
If others nearby already want the same, you join their group; otherwise a new one starts with you.
Join a group that’s forming
Groups appear on Discover under Almost a group, the closest few first (See all has the rest). Each shows how many are interested out of how many it needs, for example “4 of 6 interested”, and when it closes. Tap I’m interested to add yourself.
You can sort them by For you, Almost there or Closing soon. A group stays open for 7 days; if not enough people join by then, it closes and you’re told.
When it’s ready
When enough people are in, everyone is told it’s ready and someone needs to host:
- I’ll host: you confirm the time and meeting point, and Onzo invites everyone interested. It becomes an activity you host.
- Ask another member to host: Onzo asks the member who has hosted most, with the best time and place for the group. Nothing is created until they say yes; no reply within a day counts as no.
- I’d rather host my own: create a separate activity with your own time and place. It isn’t linked to the group.
