Notifications and settings
Choose what Onzo tells you about, and how the app looks. Open Me → Privacy & notifications.
Notifications
Turn each kind on or off:
- Activity reminders: 24 hours and 2 hours before every activity you join.
- Requests & approvals: requests to join what you host, and answers to yours.
- Invites from people you’ve met.
- Almost a Group is ready.
- Connection requests and Accepted requests.
- “Stay connected” after activities: the people you met, when a date ends.
- Chat messages: new messages in your activities’ group chats.
Not getting notifications at all? The card at the top of Notifications says whether this phone shows them. If they’re off, tap Open Settings to turn them on; if they’re on, tap Not getting notifications?: it says what to check (Do Not Disturb or Focus, the phone’s settings for Onzo), then tap Send me a test notification. If no banner appears, swipe down from the top of the screen to look in the notification centre.
Your notifications are in the bell on Discover. Tap Select to mark several as read or delete them.
Privacy
- Show message text on lock screen: turn it off to see only “New message in Badminton”.
- Who can invite me again: people you’ve met.
- Location precision: others only ever see your area, never your exact location.
- Blocked people.
Language and appearance
Under Account:
- Language: English, 中文 or Bahasa Melayu, or Phone’s language.
- Appearance: light, dark or the same as your phone, and a colour.
Both are kept with your account, so they come back when you reinstall Onzo or sign in on a new phone.
Tips
Under Display, Show tips again brings back the first-time tips on each screen.
