Connections
Connections are the people you’ve met at activities and want to see again. Once connected, you can invite each other to your plans.
Connect with someone
Anyone’s profile opens for anyone, hosts and the people who run organizations included: tap their name on an activity, a page or a list. It shows what they chose to share. What you’ve done together appears only if you’ve joined an activity together. Tap an organization badge on someone’s profile to open that organization’s page, where you can Follow it or ask to become a member.
- Open someone’s profile from an activity you both joined, or from Me → Connections → Discover. People who take requests from everyone can be asked from their profile too.
- Tap Connect. Add a short note if you like, for example “Great game on Saturday!”.
- They see your name, photo and what you have in common. If they accept, you’re connected.
If they choose Not now, nobody is told, and you can ask again after 30 days. Requests nobody answers expire after 30 days. You can send up to 20 requests a day.
Connect by QR code
Met someone in person? Connect on the spot.
- Ask them to open Me → My QR code.
- On Connections, tap the scan button and point your camera at their code.
- Check it’s them and tap Connect. You’re connected straight away: you’re told so and taken back to your connections, and they get a notification. If it doesn’t work (an old code, or someone you can’t connect with), the scan screen says why.
Showing your code is your yes, so no request is needed and you don’t need to have joined an activity together. To show yours instead, tap Show my QR code on the scan screen. Codes refresh every few minutes, so an old screenshot won’t work, and blocked people can’t connect this way.
Your circle
Me → Connections → My circle lists your connections. Sort by Recent, Most together or A–Z, or search by name. Tap someone to see what you’ve done together, or Invite to an activity.
Catch up suggests people you haven’t seen lately: plan something and invite them all at once.
Who can find you
On Connections, tap the shield button (Connection privacy) to choose:
- Allow connection requests on or off, and from whom: People I’ve met (who joined an activity with you, or share your interests if they can find you that way) or Anyone who opens my profile, which suits hosts and organizations. The daily limit and the wait after Not now apply either way.
- From activities: people who joined the same activity can see you in their suggestions.
- Like what you like: people nearby with the same interests can find you and ask to connect.
- Show my interests on your card.
Only people you’re connected to see how many connections you have. Removing a connection doesn’t tell the other person.
After an activity
Onzo may ask whether you want to stay connected with the people you met. Tap Connect on the ones you’d like to see again.
